TotalEnergies EP South Africa has once again been taken to the Western Cape High Court by small-scale fishing communities and environmental organisations, Aukotowa Fisheries, The Green Connection and Natural Justice, this time to challenge the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy’s decision to grant environmental authorisation to explore oil and gas in the Deep Sea Orange Basin.
