A technical fault at the Palmiet pumping station this past weekend yet again threw the spotlight on to Johannesburg’s fragile water system. While the epicentre was Midrand, large parts of Gauteng were left without water for six days. However, the rest of Johannesburg still has longer and more severe water issues.
