Lack of supervision costs education department R2.8m after child blinded at school

A North West High Court has ordered the MEC for Education to pay R2.8 million to the mother of a child who was tragically blinded in one eye after being stabbed by a fellow learner at school, citing inadequate supervision as a critical factor.
